Vintage 50s 60s Hand Tooled Leather Mexican Cosmetic Train Case Jewelry Box

Add functional and decorative storage to your southwestern or rustic interior with this true vintage leather train case. Likely from the 50s or 60s, meticulously hand tooled leather attached to a sturdy wooden box.

Unique construction features zippered fold out compartments and roomy bottom storage accessed with an interior flip latch. Interior bottoms and lid are padded.

Vintage removable tag inside the box indicates the leather is goat hide and sheep skin and zippers and clasps are brass. (Note: Metal pieces are magnetic which is not consistent with solid brass, possibly plated) Made in Mexico. In excellent vintage condition overall.

Hardware is in good working order, a couple pieces slightly loose, sometimes stubborn front latch. Stain on interior bottom, small pen mark on top, leather has edge wear, scuffs and signs of wear consistent with age.
