Offered is this vintage hand tooled leather overnight suitcase or cosmetic case made in Mexico, probably in the 1940s or 50s. This size also is called a train case. The label reads genuine leather, La India Bonita, made in Mexico. The beauty case opens to reveal a makeup mirror and two foldout zipper compartments, all made of leather. The second layer below has straps to hold bottles or brushes and a flat open space for a change of clothing or more beauty products.

Again, leather appears as the lining as well as the exterior. A rope handle has been substituted for the original. The latches and hinges are all in working order. This piece measures 13.75 inches long, 10 inches wide, and 7.25 inches high. This piece is in very good condition for its years. One zippered compartment has significant staining but no loss of functionality. The bottom shows what might be a water stain.
